You may know Katie Cassidy for her acting chops, but she’s also got some serious sartorial sense. The 27-year-old Arrow star has fabulous red carpet and street style. Plus, she’s also got her own fashion blog, Tomboy KC—check it out!
So, we caught up with Katie to get all the inside scoop on her personal style, beauty tips and her favorite spots in the country’s fashion capital: New York City.
Keep reading to find out the last thing she bought, where she eats when she’s in NYC and why she would live in Barney’s if she could.
Getting ready for any red carpet event is no small task, but when you are coming direct from an airplane well, this pretty much sums it up for you. Here is a behind the scenes look at what “getting ready” actually looks like.
Last week I flew in from Vancouver to attend the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood party (So. Much. Fun). I landed at LAX airport, checked into my hotel room, quickly busted out a street style phootshoot for TKC (coming soon) and plopped myself in the makeup/hair chair as I quickly scarfed down a salad. My amazing team did their amazing work, I put on my dress and raced out the door. This is life on the road.
Recently there have been quite a lot of new photos added to our gallery, which were public for you already, we just didn’t really get to making a post about it, so here it goes!
On February 25th Katie attended the Vanity Fair & Fiat celebration of “Young Hollywood” Party, wearing a gorgeous black dress, looking absolutely stunning, as always. 38 HQ and MQ pictures have been added from this event. On the day after, Arrow came back with a really strong episode in which Laurel came to terms with having Sara back. 199 screencaps have been added from “Time of Death”. Then, just yesterday a couple of on set pictures have been released of Katie and her fellow Arrow co-star Jessica De Gouw, who have been shooting a cery exciting episode entitled “Birds of Prey”.
So like I mentioned earlier some parts of our Gallery (especially the screencaptures from movies & shows) are undergoing maintenance. This has a reason of course, which is kinda long, and hard to explain, but here’s what you need to know: the new caps are of a LOT better quality, and I tried to sort out the too similar ones, so they should be easier to browse.
As of right now the screencaps for A Nightmare on Elm Street and the full series of Melrose Place are replaced – yes, I replaced the crappy MP caps with the ugly big The CW logo, with clear and huge caps, with no logos.
Up next: Monte Carlo and Harper’s Island, I also want to replace the small Gossip Girl caps for better quality caps.
On another note, thanks to the awesome Katie (not our Katie, haha) we have brand new behind the scenes pics from Katie’s (our Katie) chinese photoshoot up in our Gallery, and they look marvellous!
