Katie shared some details about Laurel in the upcoming season for E! News.
She’s becoming stronger and she’s driven and very independent. But she’s starting to stand up for what she believes in and maybe not always go through justice…hopefully season two she sort of going to be evolving into Black Canary.

Just like last year Katie and her co-star attended at CW Network’s 2013 Upfronts, where Katie looked gorgeous in Black Halo dress and Christian Louboutin shoes in the red carpet.
After that Katie went the CW’s Party, where she posed with Luke Mitchell. Sadly, this time we didn’t get a lot of photos, just four.

Katie few days ago attended at the 2013 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert held at The Home Depot Center on Saturday (May 11) in Carson, Calif. Katie was casual, but more gorgeous. 135 HQ and MQ photos have been added our gallery, check it out.

Katie and her co-star gave an interview a few months ago, where she talks about Thea and Laurel relationship, is she watch TV sometimes, and Katie gives some details about her favourite heroine. We can see some photos of this interview.
Maybe you can talk a little bit about the Laurel and Thea relationship. We haven’t seen a lot of it, but I suspect because of their history of the Oliver Queen family and her family that there should be at least some history. Why haven’t we seen more of that and will we be seeing more of that?
Katie: You’ll definitely get an opportunity to see the history between Thea and Laurel. Thea does something that sort of gives them an opportunity to bond with one another and I don’t want to give anything away, but she sort of sees Thea as her younger sister, you know. They’ve had many years together and I think she feels for her. I definitely think Laurel has a sensitivity towards her.

During the Paley Fest Katie give to us some new details about her character’s family:
The stuff that I shoot with Alex and Paul is always very stressful,” she says. “I don’t know if it’s because it’s a family situation, or just because there’s a lot more weight on the scenes. Certainly it takes a lot, emotionally, out of me. Even you bringing it up, I’m like gasping for air!
We (Katie, Paul and Alex) did a lot of backstory into it, and we’ve certainly put as much color and weight into it as possible and then we start to strip it all away. So it’s usually very draining shooting that stuff, but also it’s amazing. As an actor, it’s the stuff that moves me, and of course that’s what you want to shoot.

The scene between Laurel and Oliver outside of Verdant from a few weeks back made it pretty clear that Oliver misses Laurel… and that she misses him. This week, Oliver and Tommy will start to confront their shared affection for Laurel. ”We’re actually going to get some clarification as to how Oliver feels [about Laurel] this week. I would expect to see my character and Katie’s character together a lot more toward the end of the season,” Stephen says. “And that’s not good for Tommy.”

“Well, thank you for realizing I’m a person,” Katie Cassidy says. She’s in Vancouver. I’m in Toronto. We’re talking over the phone. Because I’m a real journalist, looking for whatever Truth I can in any given situation, I did my research going into this interview. And what I saw annoyed me.
Maybe it’s because Cassidy is in Arrow, a hit television series based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, and so, therefore, much of her media time is taken up by fan boys and girls looking for the next spoiler to feed to their Tumblr followers. But one can’t help but notice she mostly answers questions about Laurel, her character, Green Arrow’s love interest, who also happens to be a whip-smart pro-bono lawyer (who, if her character holds true to the comics, will put on some fishnets one of these days, and fight crime as the Black Canary). It sounds a bit like a parent/teacher conference, where Cassidy has to explain the actions of her child, who happens to look just like her, only with a different name. “I’m used to talking about my character,” she says. “but I’m pretty open. People just don’t ask.”
